Our 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback
We have always had a hankering to own a classic car and thought about getting some old British tin until we saw the light and realised that what we really wanted was some American muscle. We looked at a few 'Yanks' before buying a 1984 Pontiac Trans-Am from Billy Alexander in Glasgow, as it seemed like a practical first American car.

Unfortunately the Trans-Am met with a bit of an accident due to demolishing a telegraph pole (not our fault). So it was back to Billy's clutching the insurance cheque (and a bit more) to pick up the Mustang which we had drooled over anyway.
We have had the 'mussie' for a year and a half and can't imagine parting with it. It has been reasonably reliable although it is a bit heavy on petrol and as it doesn't have power steering, is a complete swine to p[ark. It has a 5 litre (302) v8 engine and has dad loads of previous owners since arriving in the UK in 1973 from Canada. It seems to have been raced in the past as it has some performance items fitted.
